The Mbonge and Isangele communities witnessed an environmental upgrade and awareness campaign as the National Institute for Sustainable Development carried out a tree planting exercise and a panel workshop on environmental sustainability in the locality, from 3 to 19 June 2022.

NISD organised the exercise as a wake-up call to the many challenges facing the community in regard to environmental degradation. The tree planting exercise, which had about 300 trees planted, saw the presence of the mayor of the locality and other environmental stakeholders in the division.
